Story shared: Our First Bicycle.

Carls Farm in Morgantown Indiana. I remember you and Bill had found an old rusty bicycle, no chain so no brakes, no fenders and no seat. Handlebars were crooked. Our house was on a steep hill and at the bottom of this hill was a small stream surrounded by bramble bushes. I was elected to take the first ride down the hill, I was around 6 years old and excited. Both you and bill pushed me until the bike was banging down this hill, Did I mention the tires were flat. I had never riden on a bike and once I got started I became very afraid. The bike stopped only when I hit the bramble bushes. Mother was taking out stickers from those bushes from just about everywhere on my body for two weeks. We all got a whipping including Me! Dad came home and we never saw that bike again.
