Roger D. Nay, Funeral Director

Roger D. Nay began his career in funeral service in 1983 at the former Lytle Mortuary. Roger graduated from the Mid-America College of Funeral Service in 1986, and earned his funeral director's license in 1987. Roger continued to serve as a funeral director at Lytle Mortuary until 1988. Roger has now been serving the families of Switzerland County and the surrounding areas for 30 years. Roger is a member of the Vevay Kiwanis Club, Lifetime Resources Board of Directors, Switzerland Baptist Church, Indiana Coroner Association, Hightower Board of Directors, Indiana Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association, Federated Funeral Directors of America & the Finance & Investment Committee for the Switzerland County Community Foundation. He was a founding board member of the Switzerland County Community Foundation. Roger was a former board member for the Switzerland County EMS, Switzerland County YMCA & the Switzerland County Chapter of the American Cancer Society, where he served as the Chairman of the neighborhood campaign. He was a former Switzerland County Coroner for 8 years. He was former Secretary for the Pi Sigma Eta Fraternity.  

Kayla M. Nay, Funeral Director

For 27 years, owners Roger and Rodney Nay have embraced and cultivated the legacy of Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, known area-wide for its meticulous attention to detail and exemplary service. Roger's eldest daughter and the first in the Nay family became the second generation graduate with a degree in mortuary science and a licensed funeral director in 2012. Nay equally feels a deep commitment to our clients and the areas we serve. Another familiar face with a family connection, Kayla will help ensure the continuance of that rich tradition. Kayla's appointment marks two new milestones for the company, Haskell & Morrison's first female licensed funeral director and father-daughter team. A 2010 graduate of Switzerland County High School, Kayla pledges to uphold the family's unwavering commitment to excellence, a tradition commencing with founder George W. Haskell nearly 150 years ago.

Rodney L. Nay, Funeral Director

Native of Deputy, IN.  32 years in the funeral profession, including co-purchase of Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay, IN in 1990.  One of the four co-founders of  Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in 1997.  Graduate of Mid-America College of Funeral Services, 1986.  Recipient of Pursuit of Excellence distinction from the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), 2014-2017.  Funeral Director of the Year - 2014, bestowed by American Funeral Director magazine.  Recipient of the Distinguished Hoosier Award - 2015, presented by the Governor of Indiana and the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs. Recipient of Business Citizenship Award from the Madison (Indiana) Chamber of Commerce, 2010. National recognition for financial contribution and involvement in Wreaths Across America endeavor, 2009-2017.  Member of NFDA, Indiana Funeral Directors Association (IFDA) and Indiana Coroners Association. Office holder of numerous IFDA positions. Continuing education studies through IFDA and NFDA. Jefferson County (Indiana) coroner, elected in 2016. Two-term coroner for Switzerland County, Indiana.  One daughter, member of the Morgan & Nay administrative team.
